humour me

2026

eyes, darted aimlessly

fragile teenage hearts, primal eagerness

friends

no, strangers.

known only from a journey. 41.

they knew the way their Nike bags slung carelessly across their shoulders

which girls' bum curved the straightness of her skirt

her mother never said  don't talk to strangers

Humour me is a collection of musings in the form of an experimental film exploring the boundary between self awareness and narcissism. The film operates with two distinct voices, one introspective and the other observant much like the words and tone of the writing above. Blending text, abstract imagery and the personal archive, Humour me attempts to visualise the paradoxical facts that shape a life.  the work was projected mapped onto a plaster cast torso placed on a mirror.
